Poppa is a GENIUS!

Marky and Jackson had a boy's night tonight and when I got home tonight Mark told me that he had THE most amazing idea and it worked like a charm. Jackson is NOT a veggie eater and Mark had the brilliant idea to tell Jackson that they were going to play a guessing game with a bowl of veggies. Mark told Jackson to close his eyes and he would put a veggie in his mouth and Jackson would to guess what kind of veggie it was. Well Jackson totally loved it an ate an entire bowl of corn, peas, carrots and greeen beans. He has NEVER eaten a green bean in his life and he ate a bowl of them. Poppa is a genius. :)

Happy, Happy Birthday BIG boy!

It's really hard for me to believe that 3 years ago today our sweet Jackson even was born. It is really weird for me to say "my son is 3 years old". It's been an amazing journey so far and if the first 3 year are any indication we are in for many exciting (CRAZY) years to come.

Jackson is definitely a little person now. And while little is a relative term when talking about Jackson...he looks like a giant next to everyone else his age. He has a BIG personality too. He has no problem telling you exactly what he wants when we wants it. He makes us laugh every day and always has me saying "where did you get that from??".

Grammy and Al came out this weekend and we had a very small party for him this past weekend. We did a "Cars" theme and of course he loved it.

How can he be almost 3 already??

The fact that time really does fly by after you have a baby kind took me my surprise. I heard so many people say that before we Jackson. And now that Jackson is almost 3 years old I can truly "see" that time really does fly by. I am trying to be more aware of the little things in watching him grow up.

With Jackson being fully potty trained, and the way he can so clearly communicate he feelings now I feel like we have a little kid now...not a baby anymore. It's bittersweet of course but I LOVE watching Jackson become his own little person.

Jackson has become REALLY interested in the camera suddenly and if he sees it out on the counter he either wants to take pics or wants me to take his pics. I snapped these pics after he said "Momma take my pictures, I'll say CHEESE".

We've been talking about Jackson's upcoming birthday and trying to figure out what theme he wanted. Of course we knew it would be something to do with cars/trucks/trains but I was curious if he had any specific ideas. I asked him a few weeks ago and at first he told me a he wanted a McQueen birthday, then he said a monster truck birthday and finally a big rig birthday. He keeps going back and forth between them all. So I'm not sure what we'll do yet.

And now Jackson keeps asking Falkor and Finnegan what kind of birthday they want. :)
