More words and sounds!

Jackson started really noticing planes in the sky a few weeks ago and gets all excited whenever he hears one now. We were at SuperTarget yesterday and in the dollar section they had little planes and car and Jackson said "pane" when I picked one out for him. He is SUCH a boy. His car and plane obsession is in full force.

He has also started to "moo" and "neigh" when he sees a cow or horse in a book or on TV. We were driving today and happened to drive past a house with 3 horses and Jackson yelled "neigh, neigh" with glee. :) I can't wait to take him to the State Fair to see all the farm animals.

Jackson- The Cat Whisperer

A few weeks ago one of our dear friends Shauna (Jack's Mom) watched Jackson for a few hours so Marky and I could see a movie for his birthday. Jackson's LOVES to go to Shauna's house loves their little kitty Rozie. Rozie is a lil peanut of a thing and is so good with the boys. Shauna told me this story after we picked Jackson up that afternoon. Rozie was sitting on a end table in their living room and Jackson went up to her to say Hi. Shauna said he was talking to her in a really soft voice and she was looking right at him. Rozie then leaned over and gave Jackson a little "nose kiss" on his face. She said it was the cutest thing ever. I wonder what Jackson and Rozie were talking about. :) What can I say...its in his blood! hehe

More new words!

Jackson has been trying to mimic us much more lately. It's so fun to hear him try to repeat words now. I know at some point in the near future I'll be wishing that he'd just be quiet for 2 seconds but I am enjoying it right now. He started saying bewbewwwy (blueberry) which is SO cute, shoes, Mark got him to say turtle yesterday, toos (toast) ooose (juice-btw the Juicy-Juice Harvest Surprise juice is indeed toddler crack) and today I was telling the puppies to "go lay down" and he kept saying "go down". SO cute! :)

The First Offical Shiner!

A simple accident this weekend marked Jackson's first official foray into boyhood. He got his very first shiner! We were all out on the back deck together and Jackson tumbled on one of the steps and landed on his cheek bone. He only cried for a few seconds but it sure didn't take long for the shiner to show up! Grammy Karen and Al were visiting this weekend so of course we had to tease her and say it was her fault. :) I know this shiner will be one of many especially since Jackson thinks he's a mini Evil Knievel. I can feel the gray hair sprouting as I type this.

Happy Birthday Grammy Cola!!

Jackson wanted to wish his Grammy Cola a very Happy Birthday! He wishes he could be there to give you big hugs and kisses but he thought a picture might be the second best thing. We LOVE you!!

Stop and Smell the Flowers

Jackson has a green thumb!

Well at least I hope he does...I hope that he takes after his Grandpa Jack who loved to garden. Unfortunately I did not inherit the green thumb from my Dad although I still love to get my hands dirty. Jackson LOVES to play in the potted plants and touch and smell the flowers. He also likes to pick them off and give them to me so I have to watch him close. :) (mmmm....maybe that is why my plants aren't doing so hot ;) ) I took these pics of him yesterday and they remind me so much of my Dad. He would be outside the entire summer (with his shirt off) tending to his garden. This pictures really bring a smile to my face. Jackson looks just like Grandpa Jack tending to his tomatoes with his shirt off. LOL :)

Happy 4th of July...(one day late)

I hope that everyone had a fun filled 4th of July. I look forward to when we can take Jackson to 4th celebrations and to see fireworks but our day was pretty low key. I tried really hard to get some pics of him holding a little flag I bought but he wasn't really interested so this is what I got. :)

15 Month Appointment Finally!

Jackson finally had his 15 month Dr.'s appointment even though he turned 15 months on the 23rd. He is now 32.5inches tall and near 27 lbs! He is not in the 90% anymore but he's still on the big side. I get comments all the time from people when we are out and about thinking he's a 3 year old. :) Of course he flipped out when he touched the paper on the table and when he got his 2 shots but he was happy to just walk around the exam room before his shots. It was so cute because he was handing stuff to his Dr. even though he was afraid of him. And Jackson won't fall for the "here play with my stethoscope" trickery. He knows the Dr. is up to no good. LOL
